4 Star Wars anniversaries celebrated at Contra Costa Con this Sunday at Hilton Concord
CONCORD, CA (Mar. 28, 2025) — Contra Costa Con Star Wars Celebration comes to Concord for its third annual edition this Sunday, Mar. 30. It takes place at the Hilton Concord Hotel. The event features actors and behind the scenes creators from the Star Wars family. Come by to celebrate anniversaries of four Star Wars productions in the past four decades.
Actors from Star Wars movies and videos along with ILM creative talents will be on hand to meet and greet the fans. This year is the 10th Anniversary The Force Awakens – Star Wars Episode VII, 20th Anniversary Revenge of the Sith – Star Wars Episode III, 30th anniversary Star Wars: Rebel Assault II: The Hidden Empire video game and the 40th Anniversary Ewoks: The Battle for Endor.
Contra Costa Con has arranged for an exclusive big screen showing of The Force Awakens on its 10th Anniversary at the Brenden Theatres in Concord at 5:30pm following Contra Costa Con.
Guest stars, photo opportunities
Contra Costa Con guests include C. Andrew Nelson (Darth Vader), Margo Apostolos (Ewok Tokkat), Kevin Thompson (Ewok Chubbray) and David Gonzalez (Ak-Rev–Jabba the Hutt’s drum master).
There will be panels with the actors and ILM technical stars at Contra Costa Con.
The Rebel Legion Endor Base, Mandolorian Mercs Teren Clan, 501st Legion Golden Gate Garrison and Droid Builders members will come as their favorite Star War characters to meet and have photos taken with fans of the iconic movies.
You will find toys, art, comics, LEGO, anime, vintage and new collectibles, games. Jewelry, apparel and much more is also featured at this family-friendly show hosted by Bay Area Festivals and American Brick Builders.
Contra Costa Con 5 is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free parking at the Hilton.
Free toys and games
The first 300 families get a free Toy Bag including Quillico by Glass Gamz($22 value). Quillico, a unique tile word game, allows players to create words going forward, backward, up, down and diagonally.
Featured guests enjoy meeting and chatting with attendees. However, the ticket admission price does not include picture, autograph or audio with featured guests.
A free, family-friendly Star Wars Cosplay Costume Contest for attendees awards cash prizes in different age groups. You can register for the contest during the day with contest judging at 3 p.m.
New items and collectibles from Star Wars, Star Trek, Disney, Transformers, Funko Pop, LEGO, Pokémon, G.I. Joe, Marvel, DC, Dragon Ball Z, My Hero Academia, Hot Wheels and much more will be available from the wide variety of exhibitors at the show. The event also features posters, anime, art, prints, t-shirts, hats, books, buttons, classic video games, jewelry and cards.
