Popular summer concert series in Concord nears end

Concord’s Music and Market summer concert series is coming to a close next week. On Thursday evening, the second to last concert of the series drew a large crowd, as usual.

Surrounded by a busy Farmers Market and a tasty selection of food booths, the stage at Todos Santos Plaza featured 2 bands: Garageland Radio and The Swampers.

One of the longest lines for food was for folks wanting a super stuffed baked potato from Julie’s Roasted Corn and Potatoes booth.

Council member Laura Hoffmeister announced the winner of the produce giveaway at the end of the evening.

The Swampers, a Credence Clearwater Revival tribute band, cast a spell on the crowd that had people, young and old, dancing. The final concert is Thursday, 9/26.
