Concord tree lighting brings joy to Todos Santos Plaza

CONCORD, CA (Dec. 5, 2021) — Concord’s Annual Tree Lighting and Mayor’s Sing-Along returned to Todos Santos Plaza on Friday evening. The City hosted this family-favorite event which drew a good-sized crowd to downtown.

Families took photos with Santa in a Snow Globe, sponsored by Henley’s Custom Cabinets. Also, kids got a chance to feed Santa’s reindeer.

For those who wanted to create a festive decoration, the Concord Art Association hosted a free, make-your-own holiday craft booth.

The glittering event, emceed by local TV personality and musician Dan Ashley, also feature live performances by the Concord High Jazz Band, D’Ann’s Dance Academy, Concord Parks & Recreation Ballet, the Westwood Elementary 3rd Grade Choir, and a concert by Music & Market favorite, The 925 Band.

Later in the evening, outgoing Concord Mayor Tim McGallian lead the crowd in a sing-along and helped light the downtown tree.

Todos Santos Business Association sponsored carriage rides to make it a truly magical evening.
