Time is running out for Meals on Wheels donation goalCaitlin Sly Meals on WheelsCONTRA COSTA COUNTY, Nov. 27, 2020 —While the pandemic has affected every one of us, not everyone is experiencing it the same way. Now more than ever, vulnerable seniors are worried about completing the basic tasks in their lives. They need help getting food, picking up prescriptions, shopping for household items, and dealing with days on end of isolation.

Meals on Wheels Diablo Region has responded to this need by developing programs that address the increased demand for delivered meals and provides assistance with essential errands. We’ve also expanded our Friendly Caller Program to combat isolation. We knew we could do all these things and more because we had the ongoing support of our Monthly Giving Circle donors.

Now we’ve set a challenge for ourselves. We need 30 donors in 30 days to join our Monthly Giving Circle – a generous community of supporters who pledge to make a monthly donation. We are so close to reaching that goal, but we only have 3 days left! Any amount will do – every dollar helps us fulfill our mission to deliver meals and services so vulnerable seniors can remain in their home, safely and with dignity.

By joining the Monthly Giving Circle you also help us respond to unforeseen financial demands, like investing in personal protective equipment that keep our staff, volunteers, and clients safe. Your monthly gift also provides year-round support for the most fragile in our community.

Save paper, postage, and time – monthly giving is a very efficient way to give. The Monthly Giving Circle is not complete without you. Please sign up by Nov. 30th and help us meet our goal of welcoming 30 members into our Monthly Giving Circle!
