CLAYTON, CA (July 6, 2025) — It is with profound sadness that the family of Brent Egle of Clayton announces his passing at the age of 61.
Born in West Covina, Calif., to Willis and Louila Egle, Brent moved to the San Francisco Bay Area at the age of 8. He graduated from College Park High School and later served as an apprentice in automotive mechanics. He continued in this profession for the next 37 years, achieving the status of journeyman master automotive technician.
A leader in his field, Brent received many awards for excellence in advanced automotive diagnostics and repair as well as serving as Cole European Jaguar & Land Rover’s shop foreman for many years.
Brent was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hiking, backpacking, motorcycle riding, hunting and fishing. He often shared these experiences with family, time he cherished above all else. Brent was also a craftsman and loved to work with his hands whenever he could, frequently renovating his home, woodworking, knife and watch making, and brewing his own beer.
Brent lived his life to the fullest, excelled at virtually everything he did and always took enormous pride in his work.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Corinne; son, Benjamin (Laura); and daughter, Kristen (Keagan). He is also survived by his brothers, Bruce (Monica) and Brad; sister, Adele; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Brent was a man of deep faith, a family man through and through, and a friend to all. He will be sorely missed as he rests in peace in the arms of our Lord.
