CONCORD, CA (June 15, 2025) — From June 1 to July 31, 2025, all youth 18 and under can ride County Connection buses for free: no ID, no application, no pass needed. Just hop on and go!

The Youth Ride Free summer pilot program helps young people get to parks, libraries, jobs, and more, while building confidence using transit and connecting with friends. It also helps County Connection learn more about how youth travel, so they can improve service in the future.

Teens ages 13–18 can also join the Youth Ride Free Leaderboard by logging their trips for a chance to win weekly and monthly prizes.

This new program removes barriers and invites every young rider to explore, connect, and go, all summer long.
