Half Price Books to re-open at new Concord location

Half-Price Books to re-open at new Concord locationHalf Price Books plans to reopen in Concord in late November to early December. The popular Todos Santos Plaza bookstore was forced to look for a new location after losing its lease.

The bookstore, which sells used and new books, records, cards, games and more, closed its doors recently with an uncertain future.

Concord Mayor Carlyn Obringer commented, “I personally spend my time and dollars there, because it’s one of the few retailers in our downtown.” Obringer asked her staff to start working with Half Price Books to identify a new location when she heard their rent might be increased last October.

This week, they found a new home. They will be located in the former Aaron Brothers Art and Framing space in The Willows Shopping Center, located at 1975 Diamond Blvd.
