Free Bay Area SpringFest returns for second year this Saturday in Downtown Concord
CONCORD, CA (May 2, 2023) — Concord celebrates spring at the second annual free Bay Area SpringFest this Saturday, May 6, in the heart of downtown at Todos Santos Plaza featuring non-stop music, eclectic food court, kid’s activities, plants, arts and crafts and other exhibitors, and a beer and wine garden benefitting Sustainable Contra Costa.
SpringFest is open from 12 noon to 7 p.m. this Saturday 6 with free admission and free parking.
The event presented by Bay Area Festivals debuted to a spectacular response from thousands of attendees last year and is coming back much larger, filling the tree-lined plaza in Contra Costa County’s largest city.
Over 80 vendors will be on hand offering myriad shopping opportunities for a wide variety of products and services as well as exhibitors providing information on their programs.
The new Beer & Wine Garden features beer from popular Concord breweries Side Gate and Epidemic Ales plus wine from Contra Costa’s Viano Vineyards. Proceeds from the Beer & Wine Garden benefit Sustainable Contra Costa.

Live music on the Todos Santos stage begins at 12:30:
12:30 Concord High School Marching Band will perform on the stage and then take to the park to start the day’s entertainment.
1:30-3:30 Based in San Francisco, with roots in Havana, LA, Mexico City and London, Sondango presents superbly crafted songs with deep grooves. Formerly known as Ritmojito, playing salsa, samba, bolero, cumbia, ska and more, Sondango is a five-piece ensemble led by Sandra Aran and Richard Nelson Hall.
4:30-6:30 Classic rock tribute band Mad Apple always brings a great mix of danceable classic rock and more to their stage performances. Mad Apple members have played music together in multiple projects all over Northern California, Napa and Lake Tahoe for more than 10 years.
Kid’s activities include free balloon animals and hats plus hands-on activities.
Bay Area SpringFest is in Todos Santos Plaza in Downtown Concord at 2175 Willow Pass Rd. The outdoor festival is free to the public with two free city parking garages on the block and lots of free on-street parking.
Attendees can bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy the spring day in the tree-lined park. Pets on a leash can come along too. SpringFest is held rain or shine.
The first 400 attendees will receive a SpringFest Goody Bag. Each registered attendee will receive a free raffle ticket for numerous SpringFest-themed prizes. Donation of food to the Monument Crisis Center will earn the donor another raffle ticket for each can donated.
