Forms for Concord council, treasurer election available July 18

CONCORD, CA (July 14, 2022) — Nomination papers for seats on the City Council in Districts 1, 3 and 5 and city treasurer will be available by appointment starting Monday, July 18.

Council candidates must be residents of Concord and registered voters in the district at the time nomination papers are issued. The treasurer is an at-large position, and candidates must be residents of Concord and registered voters at the time nomination papers are issued.

The nomination period for the Nov. 8 election ends Friday, Aug. 12. If any incumbent does not file by the deadline, the nomination period will be extended from Monday, Aug. 15, to Wednesday, Aug. 17.

Forms include, but are not limited to, the nomination paper, ballot designation worksheet, candidate statement (optional), Code of Fair Campaign Practices (optional), Statement of Economic Interests Form 700 and campaign finance disclosure statements.
