CONTRA COSTA COUNTY (Dec. 5, 2020)—Don’t miss your chance to find special, one-of-a-kind holiday gifts and stocking stuffers for family, friends and colleagues. The 11th annual free Super Holiday Marketplace in Pleasant Hill today, Dec 5,  and in Concord tomorrow. The two days are a wonderful opportunity for one-stop shopping to find everything on your holiday gift list.

Shoppers will find a potpourri of gift items from over 40 vendors in a socially distanced setup. A face covering or mask is required, and temperatures will be taken of everyone entering each day.

A Marketplace Gift Bag from Stanford Children’s Health is presented to the first 200 families each day with a number of free items such as bare snacks and GoGo SqueeZ packages included in each bag.

On Saturday, Dec. 5, the free Marketplace is at Pleasant Hill Community Center, 320 Civic Dr. off Taylor Blvd. from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. The Marketplace shifts on Sunday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. to Clayton Valley Charter High School, 1101 Alberta Way in Concord, one block off Ygnacio Valley Rd.

Donations of much-needed food to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano will be accepted each day.

Shoppers can register for their free family ticket in advance and receive a $2 Holiday Buck to be used for their first gift purchase.

There is free admission and free parking each day.

Bay Area Festivals presents the Super Holiday Marketplace. The locally-based company also produces Bay Area KidFest, Contra Costa Con and Super Valentine’s Boutique annually in Concord. In addition, BAF hosts five Bay Area Camp & School Fairs, Bay Area Kids’ Book Fair, San Pablo 4th of July Multi-Cultural Celebration, Lamorinda Home Show and Tri-Valley Halloween Con.

COVID-19 protocols for Super Holiday Marketplace

  • MASKS REQUIRED – All staff, vendors and attendees required to wear mask or acceptable face covering.
  • TEMPERATURE – Everyone entering the Marketplace will have their temperature taken.
  • BOOTH LAYOUT – Booths are setup with 6 feet between each and for all aisles.
  • CROWD CONTROL – 25% of building capacity at one time, which includes staff, vendors and attendees.
  • CLEANING/SANITIZING – Hand sanitizers will be at the entrance and at every booth. Restrooms have limited capacity with cleaning throughout open hours.
  • ADDITIONAL CHANGES – No sampling or tasting of food/beverage products and no appearance by Santa Claus or other entertainment.
