Contra Costa schools job fair will offer on-the-spot interviews for teaching positionsCONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (Feb. 5, 2023) — The Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) will hold its annual county-wide Spring Job Fair on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Alhambra High School in Martinez. The event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Representatives from 25 school districts, charter schools, and colleges will be in attendance, conducting on-the-spot interviews for positions available in the current school year and the 2023-2024 academic year. Additionally, university representatives will be available to provide information about credential programs for those who want to further their education.

Schools throughout the county are seeking educators to fill a variety of positions, including full-time teaching roles, support staff positions, higher education positions, and substitute positions. Competitive compensation and sign-on bonuses are available for hard-to-fill positions.

“We continue to face teacher and substitute teacher shortages throughout the nation and state of California,” says Lynn Mackey, Contra Costa County Superintendent of Schools. “Schools in Contra Costa County want and deserve qualified educators in every classroom. CCCOE’s annual Spring Job Fair is an event for new or seasoned educators and even those looking for a career change to explore a variety of education opportunities in our county.”

Those interested in attending the Job Fair can fill out an interest form. Alhambra High School gym is at 150 E. Street, Martinez, CA 94553. For additional details about this free event, contact Morgan Broshar at (925) 942-3489.
