Concord City Championships to host 1000 swimmers on July 25-27

CONCORD, CA (July 22, 2025) — The 58th Concord Swimming Championships are in Concord Community Pool July 25-27 when nine teams with 1000 recreation swimmers compete for individual and team honors.

Concord teams Walnut Country, Gehringer Park, Forest Park, Ygnacio Wood and Bishop Estates, Dana Hills and Oakhurst of Clayton plus Pleasant Hill Dolfins and Martinez Community Swim Team will take part in A and B division team competitions.

DHST will be seeking its 32nd Concord City Meet championship since the Otters won their first A Division title in 1992. Martinez Community won its first-ever Concord meet team title as B Division winners. Forst Park won the coveted team sportsmanship award last year.

The City Meet schedule includes the individual medley and 50 freestyle for the 15-18 age group on Friday evening starting at 5 p.m. with butterfly, freestyle and medley relays on Saturday. The meet concludes Sunday with breaststroke, backstroke and free relay. Admission is free and the Saturday and Sunday meets start at 8:30 a.m.

The season-ending Contra Costa County meet is the week after City Meet on Aug. 2-3 at Acalanes High in Lafayette.

Dana Hills won three straight Division I County Meet championships before being dethroned by Rancho San Miguel of Walnut Creek last summer. The two teams have finished in the top two positions three years in a row. Forest Park won the Division III championship last year.
