CLAYTON, CA (Apr. 19, 2025) — On Saturday, April 19, residents of Clayton joined friends and family for the annual Clayton Cleans Up event, hosted by the Clayton Business and Community Association (CBCA).

Volunteers of all ages gathered to collect supplies and head out across town to clean streets, parks, trails, and creek beds. Participants donned their commemorative event T-shirts as they pitched in to beautify their community in honor of Earth Day.

Armed with gloves, garbage bags, and plenty of energy, volunteers filled dumpsters with trash and debris. After several hours of work, participants returned to City Hall to enjoy a complimentary barbecue lunch, generously provided by the CBCA as a thank-you for their efforts.

The cleanup effort came just in time to prepare the town for the upcoming CBCA Clayton Art & Wine Festival, set for April 26–27. As always, the event was made possible through strong local partnerships, including support from Republic Services and The Pioneer newspaper.
