CONCORD, CA (August 28, 2025) —Blue Devils B, the Open Class ensemble of BD Performing Arts in Concord, concluded an unforgettable 2025 season with an undefeated record and their third consecutive Open Class Pacific Championship title.

Earlier this month the world renowned Blue Devils A Corps took fourth at the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis. It was the lowest finish at DCI for the Blue Devils since 2005 when they were also fourth.

From 2007 to 2023 the Blue Devils never finished lower than second at the World Championships and won the title 10 times.

For Blue Devils B, this year’s production, Lethologica, captivated audiences with its bold design, thrilling visual moments and powerful musical storytelling.

“This season was nothing short of extraordinary,” said B Corps Director Dr. Marvin Reed Jr. “The relentless dedication, passion and heart our members poured into every moment was truly inspiring. Because of the unwavering love and support of our families, staff and community, we have built something far bigger than ourselves. The best is yet to come.”

For second-year member Ximena Nunez Rodriguez, the season was a deeply personal and transformative experience.

“I am incredibly honored and grateful to have been part of Blue Devils B. This organization has given me countless opportunities to grow and learn not only as a performer but as a person. Over these past two seasons with the Blue Devils B, I have created memories that are forever engraved into my heart and ones I will always cherish. The Blue Devils community has consistently made me feel respected and safe, and for that, I am eternally thankful.”

Assistant Program Director Rebecca Miles shared her pride in the ensemble’s accomplishments. “Our performers, volunteers and staff went above and beyond to make this season a memorable one. Our commitment to excellence on and off the field has made this year one of the most exciting yet.

“The 2026 season is right around the corner, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds.”

Blue Devils A program Variations On A Gathering

Blue Devils Drum & Bugle A Corps wrapped the season with Variations On A Gathering

at the DCI World Championships. This year’s production showcased the corps’ signature blend of precision, innovation and emotional storytelling, captivating audiences from the very first performance to the final bow.

From the opening steps in Laramie, Wyoming to the climactic moments inside Lucas Oil Stadium, Variations On A Gathering became more than a show. It was a living celebration of collaboration, connection and community. “Our members poured their hearts into this production,” said Scott Chandler, Creative Director.

“Placements tell one part of the story, but the greater story is about the artistry, the growth and the inspiration our performers shared with thousands of fans. This season was extraordinary because of the people who believed in us and stood by our side.”

At DCI Worlds, the Boston Crusaders (Gold), Bluecoats (Silver) and Santa Clara Vanguard (Bronze) finished ahead of the Blue Devils.
