Bay Point shoreline reopens after 14 months, virtual celebration Fri., Nov. 20CONTRA COSTA COUNTY—Bay Point Regional Shoreline will reopen Friday, Nov. 20, after being closed for 14 months for construction of habitat restoration and major public access improvements.

The East Bay Regional Park District will celebrate the reopening with a live virtual program at 10 a.m. Nov. 20. It will feature behind-the-scenes video and a naturalist-lead virtual tour. Speakers include park district directors Colin Coffee and Beverley Lane, general manager Robert Doyle, Congressman Mark DeSaulnier, Assemblyman Tim Grayson and Pittsburg Councilwoman Shanelle Scales-Preston.
