Solo Opera celebrates 12 Days of Christmas at Sun Valley Macy’s
The halls of Macy’s Sun Valley were decked out in opera and evening gowns Saturday morning when Solo Opera, directed by Sylvia Amorino Gonzalez, held their holiday fundraiser, The 12 Days of Christmas.
Volunteer models twirled in sequins and silk to familiar opera arias sung by well known local soprano Diane Squires. A weekend stay at the Clarion Hotel, wine and dinner capped the 12 fantastic raffle prices and the event closed with an audience sing-a-long to “The Twelve Days of Christmas.”
Macy’s hosted the event and awarded the company a grant for $2000. All funds raised support the various concerts and appearances around the Bay Area.
