CV Woman’s Club donates supplies to Silverwood Elementary

For 10 years, the Clayton Valley Woman’s Club has been giving school supplies to Silverwood Elementary in Concord, CA.

At the Sept. 10 meeting, club members donated more than $1,900 in items – including crayons, pencils, markers, notebook paper, construction paper, copy paper, rulers and scissors.

The club, affiliated with the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, started in 1973 and is dedicated to meeting the needs of the community.

Members meet the second Tuesday of each month, except July and August, at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 5555 Clayton Road, Clayton, CA. New members are welcome.
