Concord Naval Weapons Station

At its meeting on Tuesday, January 7, the Concord City Council took up an issue related to the redevelopment of the former Concord Naval Weapons Station. The issue before the Council was whether the developer, Lennar Concord, LLC, satisfied section 16. C. of its “term sheet” for Phase 1 of the development.:

“Developer anticipates entering into, and will negotiate in good faith to secure, one or more project labor agreements for Project construction.”

Following six hours’ worth of testimony from staff, the developer, the building trades and members of the public, the Concord City Council voted to continue this meeting to Wednesday, Jan. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, located at 1950 Parkside Drive, for final deliberations. Public comment was completed, and the public comment period was closed. No further comment will be heard at Wednesday night’s continued meeting.
