Clayton residents host July 9 webinar on race relations

A group of Clayton residents, with support from city leadership, has been collaborating about the best way for the entire community to participate in conversations that started at the Black Lives Matter rally in the Grove on June 5.

To that end, the first webinar series on race relations in Clayton begins this Thursday, July 9, at 7 p.m.

Michael Broome will moderate “Race Relations in Clayton: A Real Conversation with Your Neighbors.” The webinar will feature panelists Matt Tillman, Peter Cloven, Kim Newman, Erin Bennett and Lawrence Montgomery for an in-depth conversation. Although it’s not a city-sponsored event, Mayor Julie Pierce and City Council members C.W. Wolfe and Tuija Catalano are on the committee as individuals.

All residents are invited to join the webinar. Zoom details will be available prior to the call, but please contact claytonspeaks2020@gmail.com if you would like to be included in an email distribution list.
