Clayton remembers the fallen

The community is called once again to gather on Memorial Day to remember those in the armed forces who gave their lives in the line of duty. There will be special remembrances of those from Contra Costa County who have lost their lives on the battlefields of The Global War on Terror since 9-11.

Services will begin with an over flight by a Viet Nam Huey helicopter at 10 a.m. on May 27 at the VFW flagpole at the west end of Main Street.

The program lasts about an hour and includes music, poetry and speeches.
