Career Mentorship program inspires CVCHS female students to succeed

This month, CVCHS participated in the S.H.E. Leads networking event connecting local businesswomen and outstanding female high school students from Contra Costa County in a half-day of STEM career path exploration. Through hands-on activities, CVCHS students learned about workforce readiness and gained insights from panel speakers from the Bay Area.

Celebrating the power of female leadership, S.H.E. Leads provided CVCHS students with increased career knowledge and the confidence to further their aspirations and build their professional network.

“This is a special mentorship program and I’m pleased our students were given the opportunity to participate,” said Scott Farquhar, Engineering Academy Teacher. “The table discussions and interactive activities lead by accomplished Bay Area professionals offered real-world experiences and challenged our students to break glass ceilings.”
